Gavin Betker – Financial Coach
Financial management needs to align with long term goals and strategy, and also with the operations on a farm. If any of these three areas of management are at odds with the others, long term success is put at risk. Further, once plans are made, ongoing attention to financial efficiency, and variance between plans and actual results, is critical to spotting trouble before it spirals into larger headaches and stress.
Gavin, Director of Technology at Backswath Management Inc, and co-owner of Eagle Farm Business Software, teaches agribusiness and farm financial management at the University of Manitoba. He was raised on a farm in Southwestern Manitoba and has gained valuable insights over his years of consulting to farm families.
