Farm Management Canada would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM was held via video conference June 27th and was a great success, welcoming members and stakeholders from across Canada to hear about FMC’s 2016-17 accomplishments and to provide valuable feedback.

“The Annual Meeting is an occasion for FMC to share its accomplishments with members and stakeholders and gather key insights in fulfilling its mandate to meet the ever-changing demands of the industry with strong farm business management skills,” says Heather Watson, Executive Director.
FMC, its members and Board extended a sincere thank-you to its out-going Board member Humphrey Banack (AB) and welcomed Norm Hall (SK). Jeannette Mongeon-Dignard was acclaimed to serve a second 3-year term on the Board.
“I would like to welcome the new board members as well as extend our sincere thanks to our out-going director. With their help FMC will continue to champion farm business management across the country,” says Sterling Hilton, Chair.
Following the Annual Meeting, Sterling Hilton, a 10,000 acre grain farmer from Strathmore, Alberta was re-elected Chair. Joerg Zimmermann, a farm advisor in Manitoba was re-elected Vice Chair, and Patrice Carle, representing the Centre d’expertise en gestion agricole in QC was re-elected as Secretary/Treasurer.
