The next Farm Transition Appreciation Day (FTADay) is taking place on January 8, 2026.
FTADay was created to encourage, spotlight and celebrate the progress Canada’s farmers are making to secure the future of farming. Farm transition is one of the most important conversations in agriculture today, and FTADay brings together farmers, advisors, families, and organizations to support this essential work. It is a groundswell movement to motivate farmers to start, restart and keep going with farm transition planning by sharing inspirational stories and expert advice through social media, agricultural media and learning events.
The New Year is the perfect time to reflect and celebrate our successes and commit to concrete actions to help keep farms healthy for generations to come.
This Year’s theme is ‘The Future is Now,’ a reminder that every step taken today helps ensure strong, resilient farms for tomorrow.
